Introduction

LiveMore HealthCare Services (LHCS) Pakistan started as a small enterprise in 2017 at Lahore with the objective of integrating health services in one system to provide healthcare that is not just quality based but reliable, affordable and covers all spectrums of the society.

The first project of LHCS was establishing Refugee Community Refugee international Community Care Services (IRCCS) a health care and humanitarian assistance organization in Malaysia, working for provision of immediate needs to the refugees in Malaysia. Our mission is to protect refugees and ensure they enjoy their basic rights such as health care, shelter, food, legal assistance
and technical knowledge. Our mission is at par with the goals of UNHCR and
Government of Malaysia.

LHCS proactively works for the benefit of refugees without any discrimination of religion, caste, economic state, geographic origin or ethnicity. LHCS has specialized staff that caters for the refugee needs. During interaction with refugees over a longer period, LHCS identified the need to strengthen the efforts through establishing specialized centers across Malaysia that will provide basic services as well as relief to refugees.

From this modest start in three years time, LHCS has grown into a conglomerate of healthcare services with operations spread from Malaysia and now in Pakistan, Islamabad, Rawalpindi and Lahore. LHCS is now involved in provision of a full range of curative and preventive health services through a number of health facilities along with interests in research, consultancies and health infrastructure development. LHCS achieved this success due to the innovative approach of the founding board and untiring efforts of its dedicated and committed team of healthcare professionals. LHCS is headed by a Chairman with a five member Advisory Board that is the main policymaking body. Chief Executive Officer, who is a member of the board, is the operational and administrative head.

LHCS Advisory Board

LHCS Advisory Board is the main policy making body of the organization. The advisory board consists of five members and includes the following:

  • Saleem Shahzad, CEO
  • Enosh Shahzad (Director)
  • Malik Shahid (Advisor to the CEO)
  • Elisha Shahzad, (Member)
  • Sonia Shahzad (Director)

The board members frame the policies and plan the scope of activities of LHCS. All members of the board are honorary and do not receive any salaries except the members who are involved directly and full time like the CEO or the members who are assigned special tasks/duties. All decisions are made by consensus and in case of a split opinion through a majority vote. The CEO has the veto power and only participates in the voting if there is a tie.

LHCS Staff

Besides staff members based at Lahore head office, LHCS employees are spread across the country on various projects and at LHCS medical facilities. Being a purely health related organization predominantly LHCS staff consists of medical professionals including doctors, GPs, specialists, nurses and paramedics along with support staff like IT professionals, HR and account personnel, maintenance, security and logistics staff. The male to female ratio is almost 60 to 40. Female staff is involved more with LHCS home nursing services, while the field staff is mostly male.

LHCS gives its staff a career structure and believes in simultaneous growth of the staff and the organization. Staff is provided with opportunities of training and professional growth. A system of annual increments which are both fixed and performance dependant is in place to motivate the  employees. Bonuses are also awarded to staff showing exceptional performance.

Our employment procedures though are stringent and somewhat lengthy but this helps in ensuring that only the right candidate is chosen for the right job. For all staff hiring an interview committee is formed that includes representative of the concerned department along with the HR Manager and one or two members of the Advisory Board. We give preference to young people with energy and motivation. Females are especially encouraged to join LHCS.
